- Their own lived experience of utilising mental health and/or addiction services.
- A NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (Mental Health and Addictions) or Certificate in Peer Support (Mental Health, Level 4) or equivalent qualification.
- A proven ability to work effectively with peers from various cultures, especially Maori and Pasifika.
- A positive and professional attitude.
- An ability to role model how to move forward in a journey to wellbeing.
- Good computer and record keeping skills.
- Familiarity with the West Auckland community.
- Excellent communication, relationship and advocacy skills.
- Creativity, enthusiasm and persistence.
- A mature, empathetic personality, and a sense of humour.
- A full, clean, NZ driver's licence.
- A positive, supportive and stimulating working environment.
- Training opportunities and support for professional development, such as external supervision.
- 2 days per year for wellbeing leave and a day off for your birthday.
