You will lead the development and implementation of quality frameworks, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and uplift quality practices
across our teams.
You will be expected to contribute and drive the quality strategy and lead the adoption of generative AI tools within Product Development. Your focus will vary based on business requirements but as a guide it is expected that your time will be split roughly evenly between these activities (Quality system improvement, mentoring QA’s and engineers,
development and testing).The Specifics
  • Continually improve the quality of the product and broader engineering system including tooling, processes, documentation and capability.
  • Providing organisation wide leadership to improve processes and standards to increase quality, productivity, and developer experience.
  • Shaping the evolution of our testing tools, including stewardship of our suite of automated end to end tests.
  • Enterprise leadership around quality practices and modern testing
  • Acting as a positive force by guiding, mentoring and coaching other team members and leading by example.
  • Internal and external engagement. As the senior member of technical staff you will work closely with the technical leadership and engineering teams to embed quality practices into workflows.
  • Software development and testing.
  • Testing and creating automated tests for software.
  • Directly contributing to manual testing effort for our engineering teams.
  • Producing and reviewing design and implementation, working with teams through influence to ensure documentation is high quality and standards are not only met but continuously improving.
  • Participating in planning, stand-ups, estimation, retrospectives, and backlog grooming as appropriate.
What we're looking for (you don’t need to be a guru at all,
we’re looking forward to coaching and collaborating with you):
  • A highly experienced expert in the Quality domain, you will have the ability to lead the practice, enthusiastically manage change, and adapt your thinking as work evolves.
  • A gardener in mind - knows how to seed, grow and nurture - people and code. You have an appetite for helping others learn.
  • Experience developing and maintaining code bases with test automation tools (Jest, Cypress, etc)
  • Experience with one or more prominent programming languages (C#, Typescript, C/C++) is beneficial.
Other helpful skills:
  • Understanding of the energy industry, including key companies.
