- Strategic Test Design: Take initiative in thinking critically and laterally about test strategies to mitigate project risks and uncover vulnerabilities beyond business requirements.
- Automation & Collaboration: Work closely with BAs and developers to create automated checks using existing tools and frameworks.
- Agile Team Engagement: Collaborate with your agile team to build a shared understanding of business requirements and underlying systems.
- Defect Communication: Clearly communicate defects and issues to both the business and your agile team.
- User Experience Focus: Contribute to a shared goal of delivering exceptional user experiences.
- Agile Ceremonies: Actively participate in stand-ups, retrospectives, planning sessions, and demos. Support your team with non-testing tasks to help meet delivery goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply modern testing principles and stay up to date with new technologies and agile practices. Share insights and innovations with your team and the wider Digital & Applications group.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain timely and effective communication with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in modern QA and test automation within Agile environments.
- Proven ability to provide QA expertise and promote best practices across teams.
- Experience with version control systems.
- Proficiency in web application testing tools such as React Testing Library, Jest, and Playwright.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and agile delivery methodologies.
- Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern cloud environments.
- A mindset focused on growth and continuous improvement.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with API test automation frameworks (e.g., Rest Assured, Postman).
- Exposure to production monitoring, incident triage, and investigation.
- Background in banking or financial services.
