We provide personalised learning programmes from early childhood to NCEA Level 3.Our ākonga are at the center of all we do. We are a kura who work across learning areas and levels to provide a one size fits one model. Te Kura is a unique organisation who supports the education ecosystem of Aotearoa | New Zealand.In this role you will:
  • Lead, manage and support a multidisciplinary team of kaimahi
  • Assist with building a dynamic teaching and learning environment
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching and pastoral support to our ākonga
  • Utilise effective relationship building and communication skills
  • Deliver high-quality, future focused teaching & learning
  • Undertake a Kaimanaaki role as a key part of your mahi. This role focuses on the value and importance on the pastoral support you will provide to your group of ākonga
  • Engage with ākonga & whānau in Face to face and online contexts
  • Live Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Bring our local curriculum Te Ara Pounamu, to life for ākonga
Kaiako at Te Kura engage with our ākonga online and face-to-face at huinga ako (advisories) and events, and also work onsite with colleagues in our regional offices. Te Kura aims to provide flexible working arrangements, so Kaiako are able to request to work from home for up to two days per week.Ko koe tēnei | About youAs a Team Leader you will be able to thrive in a busy environment, show initiative, have excellent communication skills and be self-motivated. As well as this you will:
  • Have a proven record of effective leadership of Kaiako

  • Foster whakawhanaungatanga by honouring mutually respectful relationships that strengthen everyone
  • Be committed to progressing in your te reo Māori journey in a real and authentic way
  • Hold a current NZ registration and relevant teaching qualifications
