To work with the kitchen staff for the purpose of producing high quality meals. To practice and teach portion control, quality control, waste control and product preparation techniques.Key Responsibilities
- Beverage Preparation: Prepare a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences. This includes mixing cocktails, pouring beer and wine, and preparing coffee and other non-alcoholic drinks.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking drink orders, and offering menu recommendations. Address any customer inquiries, concerns, or special requests promptly and professionally.
- Bar Maintenance: Ensure the bar area is clean, well-organised, and stocked with all necessary supplies, including glassware, garnishes, and liquor. Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as washing glasses and utensils.
- Compliance: Adhere to all relevant alcohol service laws and regulations, including checking identification to verify the legal drinking age of customers. Monitor guest alcohol consumption and prevent overintoxication.
- Handle Payments: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately.
- Safety and Hygiene: Follow safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of food and beverages, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and managing bar inventory, including restocking supplies, placing orders, and keeping track of inventory levels.
- Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
These are the desired skills and experience for this role:
- Previous experience as a bartender or bar attendant preferred.
- Proven knowledge of cocktail preparation and mixology techniques.
- Licence Controller Qualification would be favourable.
- Knowledge of beverage and alcohol laws and regulations.
