We're looking for a dedicated kaiako with expertise in Years 1-10 to join our Masterton team. In this role you will:
- Support ākonga to engage deeply in learning that is aligned with their goals, passions and interests.
- Facilitate regular huinga ako (online and face-to-face) to provide pastoral care, connection, and personalised learning
- Provide constructive feedback and feedforward [Am2] [Aa3] on ākonga learning
- Collaborate with colleagues and whānau to create flexible, engaging learning experiences
- A genuine interest in learning and embracing te reo Māori, with a commitment to growing your skills
- New Zealand teacher registration and a current practising certificate
- Strong knowledge of the Years 1-10 curriculum and assessment practices
- A calm, inclusive, and supportive approach to teaching and pastoral care
- Confidence using digital tools to connect with learners
- Enthusiasm for collaborative, values driven teaching
- Manaaki — showing respect, generosity, and care
- Whanaungatanga — building relationships and belonging
- Tika — acting fairly and honestly
- Ākonga at the Centre — guiding every decision we make
