Depending on the service, your role may include:
Labour and birth care, including high-risk obstetrics
Antenatal and postnatal inpatient and outpatient care
Gynaecology clinics and procedures
Laparoscopic, open and urogynaecological surgery
Fertility, colposcopy and outpatient hysteroscopy (in some centres)
Supervision of registrars and junior doctors

What you need to work hereTo practise as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in New Zealand, you must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).Most international applicants need a postgraduate qualification comparable to Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) or another recognised O&G qualification.Working for Health New Zealand | Te Whatu OraTe Whatu Ora means "the weaving of wellness."
