The main purpose of this role is to undertake development and maintenance based on the annual maintenance plan of the landscaped gardens, recreational grounds, rare plant collections and other external horticultural areas to provide a welcoming and pleasant environment for staff, students, and visitors to the University.This is a full-time (40 hours per week), permanent opportunity.
The salary band is H ($58,300-$72,700), dependent on skills and experience.

  • Have a National Certificate Level 3 or above in Horticulture.
  • Be Grow-safe accredited.
  • Have Horticultural and chemical handling certification/registration.
  • Have 1-year full time Commercial or Parks Garden maintenance experience.
  • Have sound knowledge of plant species and appropriate care.
  • Have good communication skills.
