- Excavate and prepare sites for Concrete Formwork both by hand and with plant and machinery including compactors and vibrators
- Box areas ready for Concrete, place wire mesh
- Construct Concrete Footpaths, Kerbs, Dish Channels, Vehicle Crossings, Foundations & Concrete Slabs
- Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete, and move chute to direct concrete onto formed areas
- Signal equipment operators to indicate proper equipment positioning
- Spread, level and smooth concrete or aggregate mixtures using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed and float
- Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete
- Use of saws to cut expansion joints
- Loading of work vehicles with tools and equipment necessary for daily tasks
- Follow instructions as per site foreman/supervisor
- Maintain good housekeeping practices on work sites, at the workshop and within the work vehicles
- Inspect vehicles, equipment, tools and materials for defects and report any defects to your supervisor
- Look after the tools provided making sure to use them in accordance with the company's Standard Operating Procedures
- Attend worksite safety briefings and bi-monthly health and safety meetings.
- Report any incidents, accidents or near misses to your supervisor making sure to document the facts in an incident/accident form
- Attend training as required
- Minimum 1+ years' experience
- Own reliable transport
- At least 2 work references
- 100% commitment to Health & Safety
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Full Class 1 or atleast a Class 1 restricted licence.
