- Lead the planning, development, and execution of physical works across our buildings and venues.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth delivery and alignment with organisational goals.
- Manage project schedules and budgets, maintaining clear oversight of timelines and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Proven experience in managing venue or building construction or renewal projects
- High level of technical proficiency or experience in managing building services, façade, weathertightness or general building renewals projects
- Exceptional technical, project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Detailed knowledge of the inner workings of large, publicly accessible and/or events buildings and what it takes to keep them open, fully operational, safe and fit-for-purpose
- Thorough knowledge of the building code, consents and related regulatory requirements
- Good understanding of Conditions of Contract for Consultancy Services and NZS3910 contracts
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Likes to mentor and share knowledge
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools
- Suitable qualifications in project management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is desirable but experience counts
