A recent consent to develop the previous Martha mine has provided our project with an extension of life providing our 350 staff and contractors, and the people of Waihi, an assurance that we plan to be here for the long-term.Job DescriptionA Document Controller is required by our Waihi North Project (WNP) team to maintain the document control system. Responsible for the effective flow of all documents between OGC and clients / contractors, the role maintains the file structure including, Document Management Plan & the development and revisions of templates.Key responsibilities:
  • Plan, supervise and record document flow to and from all necessary parties including engineering and construction contractors, sub-contractors and the project office.
  • Ensure the Document Management Plan is followed when creating documents.
  • Maintain the Contacts address books in the assigned Electronic Document Management data base.
  • Liaise with Project Engineers to ensure Scopes of Work for Tender packages are received into the Document Management System.
  • Monitor durations for the turnaround of document reviews by both internal and external parties, for assigned Packages.
  • Proactively highlight any events that may adversely affect project schedule to your manager in a timely fashion.
  • Actively look for opportunities to implement cost savings without effecting safety, schedule or quality.
  • Develop working relationships with the Site Operations Team, to enable longer term working relationships between Project Development team to grow.
  • Effective communication and relationship development, ensuring colleagues and contractors work towards the correct procedures and standards regarding document control.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Business Administration or similar (desirable).
  • Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.
  • Sound technical document control experience for a large infrastucture project.
  • Proficiency in MS Word.
