We are looking for Assistant Farm manager, 2IC to join our team650cows milking farm in Rangitata.
The role is a full time position
Who has a passion for the dairy industry, has a willingness to go the extra mile, works well in a team, follows instructions, is calm and patient with the cows & takes pride in all aspects of their role.Your duties will include, but are not limited to; milking, animal health, shed hygiene, tractor driving, break fencing, irrigation -ROTORAINER, K LINE,
General farm maintenance and other farm duties.
Ideally you will be skilled in identifying Mastitis, calving, bulling cows, and good health and hygiene and welfare of stock. allocate feed to the cows. excellent pasture management.
You must be competent on a quad bike and tractors.
Punctual and reliable.
Have the ability to work unsupervised and have good communication skills.
