We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.We have three exciting opportunities as a Health Promotion Advisor| Kaitohu Whakatairanga Hauora. These roles are based within the Community and Whānau Wellbeing team which aims to enhance the health and wellbeing of the whole community through creating supportive environments to make healthy choices more available to whānau. You’ll be dedicated to seeing communities thrive and will partner with them to deliver initiatives that realise Pae Ora.In this role, you will:· Foster community partnerships to design, deliver, and evaluate collaborative health promotion initiatives.· Develop effective relationships and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to address the social determinants of health.· Work closely with local government, iwi and hapū, and our priority communities to bring about positive change on a wide range of areas including smokefree, food security, physical activity, alcohol, mental wellbeing, and the early years.· Focus on achieving equity for Māori and priority groups including Pacific, Rainbow Community, and Tangata Whaikaha.Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills· Innovative thinking and a passion for improving community and whānau wellbeing.· The ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.· A tertiary qualification in a related field, such as health promotion, public health, Māori health, social sciences, or relevant experience.· Experience in project management including planning, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion initiatives.· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Ka kawea e koe | You will bring:· A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions.
