We are seeking applications from enthusiastic Radiation Therapists interested in work based in New Plymouth.We have a permanent position available, but we are open to discussing the best arrangement based on your availability and preference.The Regional Cancer Treatment Service (RCTS) is the non-surgical cancer treatment provider for the central North Island, covering a population of 580,000, in the MidCentral, Hawkes' Bay, Taranaki, Whanganui and Wairarapa Districts. Historically all radiation treatments have been delivered in Palmerston North and this is changing for our patients in the Taranaki and Hawkes' Bay regions.RCTS is the base of New Zealand's newest linac fleet (TrueBeam), supported by state-of-the-art planning system (RayStation). There is a strong culture of patient centred care with a focus on high quality Radiation Therapy for our large regional population.There are excellent opportunities for ongoing education and working with likeminded colleagues who have trained both in New Zealand and around the world.Applicants for this role will need to have:
Registration as a Radiation Therapist with the Medical Radiation Technologist Board (NZ) and hold a current practising certificate
Promotes and integrates into practice effective communication, cultural competence evidence- based best practice models.
As proactive in their own development and supports others in their professional growth
Actively participates in service improvement initiatives and promotes evidence-based practice.
The flexibility to work across multiple locations.
