The HospitalTauranga Hospital is a 359-bed regional hospital offering general and specialist medical services to a population of over 260,000 across the Bay of Plenty. As part of Te Whatu Ora (Health New Zealand), it works in partnership with Whakatāne Hospital (1 hour away), delivering high-quality care to diverse communities, including a significant Māori population (25.6%).You’ll rotate between:

Paediatrics – caring for acute and chronic paediatric conditions in a supportive learning environment
Obstetrics & Gynaecology – gaining exposure to antenatal care, intrapartum management, and general gynaecology

Both departments are well-staffed with experienced Consultants and offer structured supervision and regular clinical meetings to support your professional growth.The LocationTauranga combines the buzz of city living with the beauty of a coastal lifestyle – and it’s only 2.5 hours from Auckland!
