This is a fixed-term position, running until April 2026. The role involves maintaining sports fields across the Dunedin area. In addition to this, you’ll be involved in delivering community, domestic, and international cricket and sporting events. We also manage a variety of contracts, including maintenance of New Zealand's only covered stadium, artificial turfs, an international athletics ground, and amenity areasThe ideal candidate will have experience in sports field maintenance, with a focus on cricket wicket preparation (though this is not essential). A passion for sports and a friendly, approachable demeanor are important. What you need to succeed:

A current and clean full clean drivers’ licence class 1 – class 2 and / or WTR would be advantageous.
A good range of practical skills in areas such as gardening, grounds, and facilities maintenance
Competence with mowing equipment and power tools
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
The ability to work both in a team and independently
National Certificate in Sports Turf Management level 3 or higher is desirable but not essential.
Growsafe Certificate desirable but not essential
