In every aspect of our work, we are committed to helping whānau be the best they can be.He kōrero mō te tūranga | The RoleThis position is a great opportunity for a motivated professional to join and lead our Sustaining Tenancy, Transitional, and Emergency Housing team. This team provides housing services to tenants who are experiencing homelessness or housing distress.We are looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader who has a solid background in coaching and leading people to achieve success, is passionate about providing inspiring, hands-on leadership, and working with people who connect clients to support networks in the community and assisting them to reach their potential.You will be overseeing service deliveries, working closely with the Ministry of Social Development, looking over Wahora, and communicating with external and internal stakeholders.This role will be focused on leading up to ten team members, providing support to them, building their tenancy skills, and setting development goals with them.The role is full-time (Monday - Friday) based in Dunedin.He kōrero mōu | About YouIt is essential that you have a minimum of two years of experience working in the health, social, or community housing sector, be familiar with community agencies, and have at least two years of people leadership experience.If you also bring along the following, we would love to hear from you:
  • In-depth knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act
  • Experience working with clients who have high and complex needs
  • Good communications skills to effectively communicate with the people in the community, Kaimahi, Tangata Whaiora, and their Whānau
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • A full New Zealand Driver's Licence and working rights in New Zealand
