The Child Development Service is a dynamic team that works in an interdisciplinary manner and has strong links with Health NZ Wairarapa Paediatric services, the Allied Health team, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and more widely, into the education sector and with other child services and NGOs.We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is flexible, innovative and has the experience and ability to build and develop strong professional and therapeutic relationships. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference for children in our region.This is a part time, permanent role working 40 hours per fortnight (0.5 FTE), days and hours of work are negotiable.About the Team/Service/ LocationThe Child Development Service (CDS) is a multidisciplinary team providing specialist developmental assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children with disabilities and/or developmental delays. The team is based in Masterton and works across the Wairarapa region with children and their families in outpatient clinics and community settings including home, pre-school and school environments.To learn more about living in the Wairarapa region click hereAbout you
  • NZ Registered Occupational Therapist with current Annual Practicing Certificate.
  • Current full NZ driver's license with ability to drive a manual and automatic car (required as this role is based in the community and works across multiple sites).
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical practice essential.
  • Experience in working with children with disability and their families.
