In this role, you’ll support tamariki and rangatahi living with neurodiversity and their whānau. You’ll listen, support, advocate and help them connect with health, education and community services. You’ll also help deliver support plans and work closely with our clinical teams.This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives while being part of a supportive and passionate team.About the Team/Service/ LocationOur team is a passionate collective within Te Ara Manapou and Te Kunenga Mai Rongokako (Child Development Service). Minimum 5 years’ experience in health and/or community sectors

Strong relationships across community organisations in Hawke’s Bay

Knowledge and passion of working with complex families is a must as is a resilience in your professional practice.
A positive attitude and problem-solving focus

A Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or willingness to obtain) is desirable

Clean, full NZ driver’s licence

Experience and/or knowledge of neurodiversity, particularly Autism and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and its impact on the young person and their whānau is essential, as you will be walking alongside people as they navigate all aspects of the life in Hawkes Bay.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
