Position: Talent Mobility and Security Vetting AssociateDatacom Location: Wellington ONLYOur WhyDatacom works with organisations and communities across Australia and New Zealand to make a difference in people’s lives and help organisations use the power of tech to innovate and grow.About the Role (Your Why)The Talent Mobility and Security Vetting Associate is responsible for coordinating security screening and vetting in accordance with requirements, and in line with policies and procedures. This role analyses information to make assessments and recommendations about clearance suitability. This role is an entry-level position ('Associate') and would suit a people-oriented professional with an interest in HR, vetting or immigration processes. This is a critical administrative role so a strong attention to detail is required.Our office is based in Wellington. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!What You’ll Do
  • Implementation of strategy for the functional area, in line with the broader Datacom strategy.
  • Conducting vetting assessments in line with the broader Datacom policy.
  • Assisting the management of employee mobility and any applicable visa requirements.
  • Performing administrative functions for vetting and mobility assessments.
  • Interviewing and researching to gather and analyse information and make assessments and recommendations about clearance suitability in accordance with risk management principles.
  • Determining the suitability of applicants who require security clearances.
  • Investigating pertinent background information, such as credit, local agency check and criminal records.
  • Evaluating interview answers and investigating potentially adverse information.
  • Documenting processes and ensuring the protection of sensitive information.
  • Providing recommendations and advice on security and mobility associated risks.

  • Previous experience in a similar role that requires strict confidentiality and working with sensitive information desired.
  • Have or can obtain further Government Level Security Clearance*
*Due to the Nature of the Clients you will be working with you will need to be an NZ Citizen/Perm Resident and have the ability to pass additional security clearances.
