With particular expertise in the application of logistics information technologies to wood supply operations, our forestry division offers field hardware, software, and enterprise solutions that improve the productivity and operations for some of the world's largest forestry companies.Your InternshipCome be part of the crew, you’ll get to work alongside our highly experienced team who will be excited to meet you and show you the ropes.As part of your internship you’ll get to spend time in the cab with log truck drivers in the forest, at skid sites and at customer sites to gain a deeper understanding of the industry and the challenges faced by our stakeholders.You’ll get partnered up with an experienced and friendly mentor who will support you during your assignment and beyond as you continue your studies. Our aim is to give you a meaningful experience with real world learning opportunities and to let you see how the world of technology and forestry are combined. We’ll showcase Trimble’s amazing work culture where we foster an inclusive environment where individuals can truly be themselves and have fun along the way.What Skills You’ll DevelopWorking alongside a number of parts of the supply chain from being on the ground with truck driver and crews to domestic and scaling customers to forestry management and ownership.Build upon your experience from your studies & apply your organizational and prioritization skills in a work settingExposure to monitoring and reporting on production, inventory and delivery targets and negotiating with suppliers and customersBuild upon your software skills as you get to navigate some of our software for yourselfThis is a chance to extend your communication skills, learn how to interact with our stakeholders and appreciate the pressure points of their worldYour Skills, Experience & QualificationsYou should be based in New Zealand and currently studying in a related subject such as forestry or agricultural science, engineering, or supply chain management.We’re all about building relationships, we’re in it for the long haul so a like minded attitude is requiredApply those business acumen skills into solving real world problemsHave the ability to talk to and develop relationships with a wide range of peopleJuggling is a good skill to have for this role, you’ll get to work with our Transport Planners and experience the fast paced world of logisticsTo be eligible for this position you must currently be studying in New Zealand and have the right to work in New Zealand without the need for sponsorship.Trimble’s Inclusiveness CommitmentWe believe in celebrating our differences.
