We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Project Group Leader - Mechanical to join the Project Engineering Team and to provide key support to our team of Mechanical Engineers at Kinleith Mill, Tokoroa.The successful candidate will ideally have at least 10+ years Mechanical Engineering experience working in a heavy manufacturing or process environment. You will have excellent leadership and communication skills and be able to build and maintain strong relationships. In addition, professionalism, technical expertise, exceptional project development, problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering excellent results are the key personal attributes we're looking for.About the role:A key component will be focusing on H&S, ensuring engineering solutions are safe, effective and comply with requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act. You will be co-ordinating the delivery of capital and non-routine maintenance projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring projects are correctly developed, planned and delivered on time and to agreed budget. Providing technical support and guidance to colleagues, consultants and business units whilst mentoring your Graduates.Critical to this position will be providing effective team leadership through coaching, communication and developing individuals for future roles.About the company:Oji Fibre Solutions (OjiFS) is the largest integrated pulp, paper and fibre-based packaging manufacturer in New Zealand.   • A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Leadership experience, managing a team of Engineers.
  • Practical knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat exchangers, pressure equipment, and heavy industrial process equipment.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, particularly in a brownfield environment.
  • Demonstrated technical judgement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
