This role will also support the implementation of the new national adverse event policy from Te Tāhū Hauora Health Quality and Safety Commission.Reporting to the Quality Assurance Lead, the Adverse Event Reviewer will work very closely with other reviewers to provide subject matter expertise and support increased capability.The successful candidate will be able to appropriately engage with internal & external stakeholders specific to adverse events reviews and their management.The position is permanent, part time role (16 hours) and based at Palmerston North Hospital.About the Team/ServiceEmploying over 2500 people, MidCentral offers a supportive work environment that accepts and values all employees. A minimum of three years experience in leading adverse event reviews
A bachelor's degree in nursing, pharmacy, medicine, or a related field
A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a health care setting
A strong consumer focus
Ability to work with cultures other than their own
Proven facilitation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Well-developed problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and meet timeframes
Provie ensure timely-and high quality documentation
Experience in patient safety, quality improvement, or risk management
Demonstrated initiative and resilience to adapt and respond to changing circumstances.
