- Drive the day-to-day performance of the Customs department to deliver best in class Cleared on Arrival and Bond Days Outstanding results.
- Analyze results and formulate long term strategic goals to improve performance, reduce cost, and improvement employee engagement
- Lead department personnel including but not limited to; Performance Management/Appraisal Process, Absence Management, Disciplinary Process, Succession Planning etc.
- Facilitate robust ongoing dialog with employees to contribute to positive Employee Opinion Survey results
- Coach team members to improve performance, achieve career goals and improve departmental strength
- Manage departmental costs including but not limited to Temp Staff/Overtime usage, third party vendors and regulatory charges
- Identify opportunities for efficiency gains through harnessing Technology
- Maintain Service Level Agreement with internal departments to provide best in class service offering to end customer
- Analyze the Voice of the Customer/Business feedback and implement strategies to improve Customer Satisfaction score
- Collaborate with other internal departments to develop synergies that deliver performance improvements, cost savings, improved customer experience etc.
- Plus 3 years operations experience, preferably within transportation of logistics industry
- Communication skills (English), spoken and written
- 3 years’ experience in people management
- Can demonstrate tangible experience of Performance Improvement, Cost Savings etc.
- Experience in people development/management
- Tertiary qualifications desirable
