Your mission? To ensure our three waters assets are managed effectively, supporting the strategic direction of the Council.Key responsibilities for this position include:
Develop and implement Three Waters asset and activity management plans.
Contribute to infrastructure strategy and key strategic documents.
Drive continuous improvement in asset management practices.
Maintain best practice solutions for Three Waters assets.
Provide advice and support for asset programs.
Develop business cases for asset creations and renewals.
Oversee asset data maintenance, analysis, and audits.
Champion new techniques and practices for improvement.
Prepare reports and provide professional advice to stakeholders.
Engage and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders including mana whenua.
Collaborate with internal and external parties to address issues.
Implement robust risk management practices
Monitor compliance and undertake health and safety audits.
Prepare monthly reports and reconcile claims and expenditures against budget.
What you will bring:
A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of asset management experience, with Three Waters assets exposure.
Leadership experience with a focus on team development and motivation
Proficiency in infrastructure asset management principles and plans.
Experience in delivering infrastructure programs
Familiarity with GIS systems and risk management principles
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Integrity, professionalism, and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
Proficient in report writing and knowledgeable about local government legislation.
