The Opportunity | Ara Whiwhi MahiA rare opportunity has arisen to join Inland Revenue's Intelligence team as an Intelligence & Insight Specialist (L3). This senior role will be focused on key priorities across Inland Revenue's compliance work programme including our response to Organised Crime, AML/CFT and Digitally Enabled Tax Evasion.You will be an experienced intelligence professional with a demonstrable track record of delivering high quality strategic, operational and tactical intelligence products that have led to their intended outcomes. For this role, expert level money laundering and financial crime knowledge is essential as you will be working closely with the Domain Principal (Organised Crime and Money Laundering) and you will be required to establish and maintain strong inter-agency relationships.Key accountabilities include (but not limited to):
Production of high quality Strategic, Operational and Tactical intelligence products.
Ownership of key external relationships with the ability to deliver briefings to all levels of stakeholder.
Management of high priority compliance initiatives.
Provision of subject matter expertise to working groups, communities of practice and other internal/external forums.
Work closely with the New Zealand intelligence community and other relevant business partners.
About you | MōuTo be successful in this role, you will bring:
Extensive, demonstrable experience in a senior intelligence-based role. Additional experience working in a financial intelligence or financial crime-based role will be an advantage.
Proven ability to translate complex ideas into clear messages and foster strong working relationships across all levels of stakeholders.
Natural ability to communicate complex concepts in an easy-to-understand way and the initiative to make things happen.
A collegial and collaborative approach with a curious outlook and a desire to learn and grow in the role.
Thought leadership to drive innovative ways of working and challenge the status quo.
Ability to guide, mentor and coach team members with different levels of experience.
