The Opportunity:We are looking for Fixed Term and Permanent Technicians to join our Microbiology Team based at our Lynfield Laboratory, on full time rosters.Successful applicants will be responsible for carrying out microbiological analysis on food and/or environmental samples and ensure our customers' products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. We are looking for Technicians across a range of benches.As Technician, you will be responsible for:

Complete sample testing within the given turn-around-time (TAT)
Strictly adhere to all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance procedures
Ensure all relevant records are kept up to date at all times
Use aseptic technique and maintain a clean and tidy work area

Our laboratory is open 7 days a week and flexibility to work overtime at short notice is ideal. The rosters on offer includes at least one weekend day as part of your roster.Please note shift work is involved in the team between 6.00am and 10.00pm.About you:We would love to hear from motivated individuals with a passion for food safety and quality. Ideally you will have or be:

Bachelor of Science majoring in Microbiology, Food Science or equivalent
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Able to strictly follow the standard operating procedure
Excellent time management and organisational skill
Focus on working safely
