- Support the Senior Events and Fundraising Manager in the comprehensive planning, production, and delivery of all KidsCan-owned and partnered events, ensuring seamless execution within set timelines and budgets.
- Oversee all aspects of event logistics including site planning, run sheets, supplier liaison, permissions/consents, staffing arrangements, merchandise coordination, health & safety compliance, and volunteer management.
- Develop and implement effective acquisition and engagement strategies designed to increase event registrations and participation from diverse audiences such as schools, workplaces, and community groups.
- Lead pre- and post-event briefing processes with the Marketing team to guarantee consistent messaging and compelling communication across every supporter touchpoint.
- Conduct thorough post-event analysis by reporting on financial outcomes, gathering supporter feedback, tracking media coverage, and evaluating return on investment to inform future improvements.
- Take full ownership of national fundraising campaigns-including the flagship Christmas Cracker appeal-by managing everything from creative planning and partner acquisition to activation, delivery, and wrap-up activities.
- Build new relationships with brand, retail, and prize partners while nurturing existing supporters to ensure year-on-year growth in campaign participation and revenue generation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align campaign assets, messaging strategies, fulfilment processes, and performance tracking for maximum efficiency.
- Represent KidsCan at fundraising functions and community events to foster positive connections that expand organisational visibility and support base.
- Prepare pitch materials, campaign proposals, contracts, memoranda of understanding (MOUs), maintain accurate records using CRM systems (such as Raiser's Edge), monitor budgets closely for all assigned activities, complete risk management plans for each event or campaign initiative.
- Demonstrated experience managing all phases of event planning-including logistics coordination, budgeting oversight, supplier management responsibilities-and successful on-the-day delivery within not-for-profit or purpose-driven environments.
- A solid background in marketing communications or business development that enables you to craft compelling campaigns which grow supporter engagement while achieving revenue targets.
- Proven track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels; your interpersonal skills allow you to collaborate effectively across internal teams as well as external partners.
- Exceptional project management abilities combined with excellent time management skills so you can juggle multiple projects simultaneously without missing deadlines or compromising quality.
- Analytical mindset that empowers you to evaluate campaign results critically; you use data insights to refine strategies for ongoing improvement.
- Financial acumen demonstrated by experience managing budgets accurately; you are comfortable reporting on financial performance related to fundraising activities.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with CRM platforms such as Raiser's Edge is highly advantageous but not essential if you have similar database experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling clear briefings for collateral development as well as persuasive pitches when seeking new partnerships.
