My client is the NZ entity of large listed Multinational. This company has a shared service structure in Finance for all their NZ operations. The business has operations right across NZ; this role and head office are based in Mt Wellington with parking. This company is known for its premium brands which are very reputable.The Role
The role of Finance Business Partner reports to the Senior Business Partner of Commercial Sales. This role fits into the wider commercial partnering team. Within commercial sales there are 3 business partners whereby you own your own brands and support the GM's and operations of those Business Units.Duties
As this role sits within commercial finance, this is an excellent role whereby you are not
having to prepare the month end reporting - this is done by the Accounting team. Your key responsibilities will instead include:
- Budgeting & forecasting
- Review of the monthly financial statements, providing insights and analysis thereon, including flash reporting WD1.
- Partner two GM's as well as the operational teams to drive efficiency & performance
- Attend operational review meetings to educate and assist management to drive results
- Complete monthly commission calculations
- KPI analysis including WIP analysis
- Modelling, which will include inventory analysis,
- Analyse working capital and make recommendations to improve the company's position.
- Other ad hoc analysis as required.
To be considered for this role we are looking for someone with the following attributes:
- CA qualified is a strong preference
- Strong modelling and excel capability
- A proven ability to partner senior Execs
- Strong communication skills - both written & verbal
- Some exposure to inventory would be beneficial
- A strong analytical mindset where you love looking for opportunities to improve performance
- A proactive person who enjoys being involved in the business.
