The intimate community spirit and connectiveness to the school creates a place where our students will make friends and gain the knowledge, skills experiences that will allow them the freedom to shape their own future and to realise their ambitions.About The Role:Reporting to the Principal, the Director of Boarding will provide leadership and oversight of the boarding house to ensure a safe, nurturing and structured living environment that supports students' emotional, physical and academic well-being.The role is supported by a part-time Boarding Assistant and will work closely with teaching and support staff across the College.Key to the role will be:
  • Revitalising the boarding environment, with best practice boarding initiatives.
  • Providing effective leadership to the boarding staff that promotes exemplary student pastoral care and well-being.
  • Building strong relationships with students, parents, staff and the community.
  • Ensuring compliance and expertise around child protection policies and legislation.
  • Promoting the College's values and upholding its Special Character.

  • A track record of success in delivering effective pastoral care to girls in Years 7-13, with a clear understanding of the physical and mental well-being of boarding students.
  • A visible and approachable leadership style, with a strong and consistent presence in the boarding house.
  • Expert knowledge of child protection legislation, with a strong commitment to safeguarding and student safety.
  • Strong operational and administrative skills and be technologically proficient.
  • Calm, clear and compassionate communication skills across students, families and staff.
