About the Role
Please note: This position is not suitable for OSCE candidates. We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses with proven leadership capability and practice experience within New Zealand.This is your chance to step into a pivotal leadership role as Nurse Team Lead, guiding high-quality primary care and GP nursing services across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support Registered Nurses across 4 clinics in the Waikato region, ensuring smooth daily operations and high service standards
  • Provide expert clinical assessments and outstanding nursing care
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with patients and their whānau
  • Utilise advanced nursing skills: wound management, immunisations, triaging, cervical screening
  • Empower patients and whānau through education and personalised care plans
  • Ensure accurate, timely patient documentation with a focus on detail
  • Embed Tikanga Māori principles across all aspects of care
Skills and Experience
  • Current NZ Registered Nurse with an active APC
  • Previous leadership experience in primary care or general practice is essential
  • Certified in immunisation and cervical smear-taking
  • A supportive, proactive leader with a collaborative style
  • Calm, composed under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building with colleagues, patients, and whānau
