- Develop and implement a framework for infrastructure projects to ensure they are correctly recorded, evaluated, and approved through the LTP process.
- Lead strategic planning, performance evaluation, and evidence-based decision-making across our infrastructure portfolio.
- Oversee our investment strategies and drive excellence in infrastructure projects.
- Develop a comprehensive infrastructure strategy aligned with organisational goals.
- Provide expert advice to support decision-making on investment opportunities.
- Prepare and present compelling business cases and recommendations based on thorough analysis.
- Implement a robust framework for project evaluation and approval.
- Coordinate asset management reviews and optimise funding strategies.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Deliver clear and timely reports and advice to key stakeholders.
- Cultivate positive relationships with elected representatives and management.
- Maintain effective partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including mana whenua.
- Ensure risks are identified and managed effectively.
- Lead monthly capital budget updates and manage funding proposals.
- Ensure compliance with financial guidelines and reporting requirements.
- Relevant university degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of investment, funding, or project development experience, with exposure to infrastructure assets.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven understanding of infrastructure asset management principles, activity/asset management plans, infrastructure asset registers and infrastructure asset valuations.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices, process and systems.
- Proficiency in infrastructure asset management principles.
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, and due diligence skills.
