We are seeking a highly capable Renewals Manager to join our Gisborne team. This role will oversee the end-to-end renewals process - from early identification and prioritisation through to post construction testing and review, ensuring optimum outcomes are achieved for our clients, stakeholders, and communities.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, track, and optimise annual and multi-year renewals programmes to achieve KPIs and minimise customer impact
  • Manage and optimise programmes within a Network Outcomes Contract (NOC) environment, with a strong understanding of integrated planning, outcome-based delivery, and investment optimisation across work categories
  • Champion risk-based programme management by identifying high risk sites early, mitigating weather and customer impacts, optimising renewals for best whole of life outcomes
  • Lead the use of RAMM and digital data management systems, ensuring data integrity for programmes, reporting, and as-built records in line with Waka Kotahi standards
  • Review claims, track budgets, and apply strong commercial acumen to manage variations, costs, and revenue within renewals programmes
  • Provide accurate progress reports, validate construction programmes, and ensure high quality as built and completion documentation
  • Champion safety and environmental best practices across all renewals, embedding a culture of safe and responsible behaviours
Nga pūkenga matua | Important SkillsWe are looking for someone with strong project management capability, technical knowledge of road construction and renewals, and a collaborative leadership style. You will also bring:
  • Proven experience delivering renewals within a NOC environment, with the ability to adapt to evolving IDC requirements
  • Technical and digital competence, with experience managing and auditing data quality in RAMM and as-builts
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience managing claims, variations, and cost/revenue tracking
  • A proactive, risk-based mindset, with proven ability to optimise programmes and minimise disruption to customers and communities
  • Communicate clearly and confidently across all levels of the business
