Reporting to the Head of Commercial and Regulatory, this office-based role (with potential to be hybrid later) will see you supporting the end-to-end delivery of electricity distribution products to retailers and consumers incorporating industry trends and impacts with new technology.Based in Whangarei, the Senior Commercial Analyst will be responsible for:- Supporting the development and implementation of product and pricing strategy for the electricity network
- Providing analysis, insights, and recommendations to support strategy, pricing, and product development, as well as financial and consumer outcomes
- Building and maintaining financial models and reporting to support key processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Supporting key annual processes, including price setting, discount distribution and regulatory compliance
- Reviewing proposed regulatory changes for their impact to Northpower, including support of developing submissions
- Working across the organisation and externally to deliver product and pricing changes, including embedding updated systems and processes
- Supporting and managing key customers, including retailers and key commercial customers
- Reviewing monthly billing results and prepare commercial reportWhat's in it for you?

You will have a Tertiary level qualification in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics. You will be insightful and confident in building trusting , collaborative relations with various stakeholders in a cross- functional environment. We're looking for an individual who can demonstrate the following:- CA or CPA qualified or working towards it
- Demonstrated experience and background in price setting
- Excellent Technical and Financial analysis expertise using Excel and ideally SQL
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional relationship & stakeholder management
- Proven analytical thinking and effective problem-solving capability
- Enjoy working in a busy team environment, yet able to work self-directed
- 3-5 years' experience in the electricity, telco, or similar industry (Preferred)About us
