Based at Whangarei, this fast paced, challenging role will allow you to showcase your commercial construction management experience and further develop these skills on this $100m development. Reporting to the Commercial Site Manager you will be instrumental in the on-going construction of the multi-level main building featuring a swimming pool and a memory care wing. As the Site Supervisor your responsibilities will include:
  • Understanding the project brief, initiate and mobilise the resources necessary for successful project delivery.
  • Assist in developing, and implementation of the site-specific safety plan, ensuring the correct allocation of responsibilities.
  • Direct, manage, and coordinate all labour contractors and suppliers in order to meet the project timeline, quality and budget criteria
  • Work alongside and assist Site Managers / Project Managers to plan the work programme, resolve any identified problems and implement improvements.
  • Completing records for site reports, including health and safety, adherence to project specifications and review documentation
  • Carry out regular inspections to ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements, and consistency with Summersets processes and procedures
Qualifications:About You
You will be a highly organised & proactive self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a passion for construction management. To be successful you will bring:
  • Must have at least one year of experience working as a Site Supervisor, Site Foreman, or similar role
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret construction plans and drawings
  • Must have technical management skills to establish project requitements
  • Relevant qualification preferred (however, many years of similar work experience, qualification won't be needed)
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety principles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Projects is advantageous
