As the Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing various aspects of our business operations, including managing the finance and operations team, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, developing and implementing company policies and overseeing HR functions.The key areas of responsibility include:
Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Complete budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Manage foreign exchange transactions and minimise currency-related risks.
Serve as the primary point of contact for banking and insurance relationships, maintaining strong partnerships with financial institutions.
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and banking transactions, ensuring efficient use of funds and optimising banking services.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of annual tax statements in compliance with regulatory requirements, GST filings
Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators, financial metrics, and operational activities for management review.
In addition, we are looking for someone who can driving efficiencies through improved systems and processes, including by evaluating existing systems and technologies and recommending upgrades or new solutions as needed.About YouThis role would suit someone already in a commercial management positions who may be looking for a broader commercial position where they will also be responsible for other parts of the supply chain; or an experienced management or financial accountant looking to step into their first in-house commercial role. In addition to being passionate about the fresh produce industry, you will be able to demonstrate -
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Relevant professional certifications (e.g, CA) preferred.
Proven experience in management and financial accounting, with a strong background in tax compliance, and financial management.
Solid understanding of tax regulations, including GST, payroll, and experience in preparing tax filings and annual statements.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
