We're looking for a skilled General Engineer to join our growing team at Specialised Engineering Services, based in Palmerston North. If you're passionate about engineering and enjoy working on a wide variety of projects, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.About the RoleAs a General Engineer, you'll be involved in a diverse range of work including:
  • Fabrication using stainless and carbon steel
  • Maintenance and repair of trailers and bulk tank machinery
  • Building new plant and machinery for the bitumen transportation and application industry

What You'll Bring
  • National Certificate in General Engineering or Fabrication (Light or Heavy) - L4
  • Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Welding certification to AS/NZS ISO 9606.1:2017 (advantageous)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in general or fabrication engineering
  • Full, clean Class 1 NZ driver's licence (Class 2, forklift, and Dangerous Goods endorsements are a plus)
  • Proven skills in tank and trailer fabrication, MIG/TIG welding (stainless and aluminium), fitting, and assembly
  • Strong commitment to health and safety-for yourself, your team, and the public
