Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleThe Patient at Risk (PAR) service supports acutely unwell patients on the wards and provides a conduit to ICCU. This is a 24/7 nursing led service, with full consultant support.About the Team/ServiceThe PAR service uses a multi-disciplinary approach to identify patients at risk of, or developing, critical illness in the general ward environment. The emphasis is on support and helping to educate ward staff to recognise clinical deterioration and rapidly initiate an appropriate escalation of care.The PAR team respond to medical emergencies, acute referrals and ICCU follow-ups across all inpatient services. The service will provide 24/7 cover, with the expectation you will work across all shifts, Monday to Sunday. The PAR team is line managed by the ACNM ICCU.About YouWe are seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated individuals who have a passion for providing care to the deteriorating patient.
