- Process wages, salaries, and allowances with precision and timeliness
- Maintain and update employee records
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and collective agreements
- Respond to payroll queries professionally and efficiently
- Support the team during peak periods and staff absences
- Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold health, safety, and wellbeing standards
- Actively uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- 3+ years' payroll experience in a medium to large organisation
- Strong understanding of NZ payroll legislation, including the Holidays Act 2003
- Familiarity with Collective Agreements
- Proven experience using the PayGlobal payroll system
- Exceptional data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, and related applications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- A commitment to upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
