Waratah Farms is looking for a Planning & Compliance Administrator to join our high-performing team and help us continue to deliver excellence in everything we do.About Waratah FarmsNestled in the rolling green valleys of the King Country, Waratah Farms operates a 1,200-sow piggery and a 1,000-cow dairy farm across 360 hectares, along with an additional grow-out piggery unit near Cambridge. Our mission is simple but powerful: to produce premium Duroc pork and high-quality milk using sustainable and regenerative farming practices. Everything we do is underpinned by the latest science, on-farm research, and a commitment to the highest ethical standards. Animal welfare and environmental responsibility are at the core of who we are.About the RoleReporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Operations and Farm Manager, this role plays a critical part in ensuring that both Waratah Farms and our Roto-O-Rangi piggery operate to the highest standards of compliance and efficiency.Your day will be varied, and no two days will ever look the same. You'll be responsible for.
  • Monitoring compliance across the business, utilization of apps and spread sheets for data analysis, Sampling & testing.
  • Preparing reports, Monthly and as when required
  • Supporting the completion of key audits such as MPI and Waikato Regional Council consents.
  • Health and Safety will also be part of your portfolio, from maintaining training and hazard registers to conducting inductions for new staff and assisting with WorkSafe audits.
In addition to compliance and safety, you'll support operational processes by managing stock levels, coordinating repairs, and supporting the Administration Manager with financial tasks such as accounts payable, invoicing, and reconciliations during leave periods. There's also a property management component to this role, with responsibility for staff housing inspections and scheduling maintenance work.What We're Looking For
  • We need someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident in juggling multiple priorities without losing focus on accuracy.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Excel, are essential, as is the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • While experience in farming or rural business is an advantage, it's your ability to bring structure and clarity to complex systems that will set you apart.
