About the Role:We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Plumber/Gas Fitter to join a dedicated team working on various commercial projects and maintenance contracts throughout Palmerston North. In this role, you'll contribute to high-profile developments, leveraging cutting-edge tools and technology. You'll also benefit from a supportive and team-oriented environment that values collaboration and quality workmanship.Key Responsibilities:

Perform plumbing and gas fitting tasks on commercial projects and maintenance contracts
Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently on-site
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Collaborate with the team to achieve project goals and deadlines
Maintain health and safety standards on-site
Use technology and tools to complete tasks accurately
Quarterly on-call work with allowances (total of 4 weeks per year)

$40 - $44 p/h (depending on experience) with overtime rates of 1.5x after 45 hours
Monday to Friday work (average 44-hour weeks)
Tool allowance of up to $2/hr

Skills & Experience Needed:

Previous experience in commercial plumbing or maintenance work
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of current plumbing and gas standards/legislation
Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Comfortable with using new technologies and systems

Required Qualifications:

Certified Tradesman, or Journeyman Plumber & Gas Fitter (Drainlaying is a bonus)
Site Safe certification (preferred but not mandatory)
Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Full New Zealand driver's license
Must be able to pass an MOJ check
