We're also committed to enabling aviation participants to support economic growth in New Zealand's aviation sector.Tēnei tūranga │ About the RoleOperating at our seven major airports, part of the CAA's role is to deliver premier aviation security, while enabling a high quality, responsive passenger experience. We pride ourselves in excellence and you will contribute to our continuous improvement mindset with a pro-active can-do attitude.The National Rostering Centre (NRC) produces rosters for our Aviation Security Officers spread across New Zealand. Annually this equates to about 280,000 individual shifts and up to 7 million duties through our rostering system. This work includes rostering for e-learning, training, coordinating leave applications, and any additional requirements such as meetings.The Duty Roster Scheduler role performs short-term planning for all seven airports that the Aviation Security Service operates from within New Zealand, and we are currently looking for two people to join our team on a permanent basis. The Centre operates 24 hour/7 day a week and this role processes all operational changes to the rostering system each day.The Duty Roster Scheduler role is responsible for a range of activities including:
- Using our rostering management system, Quintiq to assign duties to meet operational demand
- Work within the workforce planning process
- Act as an advisor to the operation and recommend solutions for efficiency and effectiveness
