We walk alongside the people we support to facilitate a sense of belonging and independence.As a Support Worker with SILC, you will be responsible for assisting the people that we support to gain as much independence as possible. We have roles available in our Residential Support Services Team (RSS), with vacancies in multiple locations across Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Papamoa, and Te Puke.Being part of our Residential Support Services (RSS) team, you will work in a diverse team, supporting people with their individual plans and goals. You will take an interest in the lives of the people we support and will assist them to connect with their community in activities of their interest. You will promote independence in the home by providing support with meal preparation, household tasks and personal cares.What We Offer

  • Pay rates set by the Pay Equity Settlement, ranging from $23.50 to $29.10 per hour, depending on your qualifications and experience, plus paid time for sleepover work.
  • Permanent full-time and part-time positions available
What We're Looking For
  • A respectful, calm and supportive approach, with strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with the people we support and the wider team
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy and dependability, showing genuine care and commitment in your support.
  • Be able to work rostered shifts across the week including alternative weekends and sleepovers.
  • Full New Zealand driver licence and confidence driving different vehicles, including mobility vans
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand (citizen, resident or valid work visa)
  • Ability to meet police vetting requirements
  • Level 3 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing is beneficial but not essential. Values and willingness to learn are most important
