In every aspect of our mahi, we are committed to helping whānau be the best they can be.You'll be proud to work for one of Aotearoa's largest for-purpose organisations.He kōrero mō te tūranga | The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced AOD Clinician to join our Corrections AOD Programme based at Auckland Prison (Paremoremo) - a men's prison.In this role, you will provide face-to-face clinical interventions and group programmes that support tāngata whaiora through their recovery and reintegration journeys. Your mahi will reflect both evidence-based approaches and Te Ao Māori me ōna Tikanga to support identity, connection, and oranga.This is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.He kōrero mōu | About YouYou're a qualified AOD professional who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of tāngata whaiora. You're resilient, reflective, and confident working within a high-stakes, structured environment like Corrections.You'll also have:
  • DAPAANZ registration (or registration under the HPCA Act with current APC)
  • At least 3 years' experience in AOD treatment, ideally with co-existing mental health needs
  • Strong understanding of Te Ao Māori me ōna Tikanga and commitment to culturally responsive practice
  • Knowledge of evidence-based addiction modalities, including group facilitation
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and risk management skills
  • A full New Zealand driver's licence
