This full-time role (40 hours/week, Monday to Friday) is pivotal in embedding trauma-informed, recovery-focused, and culturally responsive care within a high-risk, high-impact environment.Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support a multidisciplinary team including AOD Practitioners, Peer Support Workers, and Wairua/Rongoā Practitioners
Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and professional development
Champion the integration of Te Ao Māori and Wairua practices into AOD treatment
Conduct assessments and deliver brief interventions and group programmes
Collaborate with Corrections, Mahitahi Trust, and other partners to ensure culturally relevant, evidence-based care
Oversee documentation, risk management, and continuous quality improvement
Influence service design and delivery across both prison sites

He Kōrero Mōu | About YouYou're a confident, compassionate clinical leader with a strong understanding of addiction treatment and the corrections environment. You bring a commitment to equity, restorative practice, and cultural responsiveness.You will have:

A relevant tertiary qualification in health (e.g. social work, nursing, psychology)
Registration under the HPCA Act or with DAPAANZ, with a current APC
At least 3 years' experience in AOD services, including group facilitation
Proven leadership experience in clinical settings
Knowledge of trauma-informed care and mental health legislation
Cultural competence and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
A full NZ driver's licence
