As Assistant Farm Manager on a 2300 Cow farm this is not an ordinary Assistant Manager position, you'll work closely with a high performing the Farm Manager to assist in planning, deliver the operational plan across the business while supporting and guiding the wider team of 12 full time staff. You'll be a strong second-in-command, someone who can step up when needed, drive BEL group team culture, planning and keep the team focused.The three key aspects of the role include: * Supporting leadership and structure: Strong communication and delegation of roles and responsibilities to meet the farming operation targets, ensuring everyone understands what needs to be done.

Performance and accountability: Helping the team meet targets and holding yourself and others to account.
Pasture first approach: Feeding is at the forefront of decision making to ensure cow's meet their BCS, production and mating targets.

What We're Looking ForYou'll bring strong practical farming skills combined with leadership potential and a genuine ability to connect with people. To succeed in this role, you will:

Enjoy working as part of a team and lead by example, there is an opportunity to contribute positively to an experienced team.
Be a confident and culturally competent communicator who can engage with diverse mix of backgrounds, support staff development through training, upskilling and influence others positively through change.
Stay calm under pressure and approach challenges with an improvement and solutions mindset.
Have sound dairy farming experience and a willingness to grow your leadership capability. Future management skills are important - we want someone who is ambitious, adaptable and ready to learn.
2 years experience of leading pasture management.
