- As the key finance support for complex project, delivering innovative and insightful analysis to support commercial decisions.
- Providing comprehensive modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for project-based activities and internal finance KPIs.
- Tracking and controlling project milestones, managing expenditure, monitoring financial risks and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects, regularly tracking and reporting on these metrics to drive performance improvements.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements in project accounting practices to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and financial control.
- Establishing best practices with engagement teams on reconciliations, billing milestones and preparing executive updates for leaders.
- Partnering with the Technology and Transformation leadership team to develop yearly planning, and quarterly forecasting updates.
- Managing commercial and financial risks.
- Exceptional analytical skills including expertise with Microsoft Excel and ability to use ERPs (SAP, TM1 and PowerBI) to interpret complex financial data.
- Proven experience in commercial finance and project reconciliations.
- Meticulous attention to detail levels and commitment to financial accuracy.
- CAANZ, CPA, CIMA, or a similar accounting certification.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and KPIs relevant to project accounting.
- People skills to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience in using reporting suites.
- A collaborative team player mindset.
- Ability to prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met.
- The skill to mentor and upskill junior members of the team.
- Confidence to take ownership and responsibility for areas, systems, and processes.
