- Opportunity to join new Patient at Risk team within our Critical Care Unit
- Reporting to the ACNM for Patient at Risk team (PaR)
- Rotating 8 hour shifts Monday to Sunday
- Strive for excellence in clinical services and focuses on patient centred care,
- Use advanced clinical skills to identify patients at risk and work closely with the primary teams to monitor and implement interventions to prevent deterioration.
- Provide specialist PaR nursing care and expertise both in direct care delivery,
- Mentor staff so they too gain further knowledge and skill,
- Act in the roles of clinician, educator, consultant, researcher, leader/change agent and care coordinator/case manager in the pursuit of clinical excellence and improved health outcomes.
- Supported to complete the required NZ outreach nurse competency assessment.
- Current Nursing council registration and APC
- Proven clinical nursing experience in acute or critical care, ED/ICU/HDU
- Holds or is working towards relevant post graduate qualifications.
- Advanced learning and contemporary knowledge in either Acute Care, HDU, ED or ICU nursing.
- Current Core Advanced certification - or the ability to complete as soon as possible after appointment.
- Hold Level 4 or Senior Nurse PDRP or level 3 and working towards level 4.
