About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
You will report to a Team Coach and be a part of our Te Whare Toi Aroha acute community day programme team. You will be working alongside support workers and clinical kaimahi developing programmes and activities to support health and wellbeing for people who are experiencing mental distress. Our whare is a beautiful old-style villa with large gardens.This is a permanent, part-time position working 16 hours per week. You will be working Monday & Tuesday, 8am - 4:30pm, based in Papatoetoe, Auckland.Responsibilities include:
  • Group Facilitation
  • Advocate and support people to be well and thrive.
  • Connect them with resources that support them in living well and assist them in building resilience
  • Help people connect with their communities, building the relationships that matter most
  • Foster positive change for a more positive life
  • Provide medication support for our people
You | Mōu
We are interested to hear from people who have a caring nature and work in a recovery and strengths-focused way.You will also have:
  • Current full New Zealand driver's licence
  • Current first aid certificate
  • Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.
  • Preferred experience in Mental Health or similar
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
