Role Summary:
Working in the Finishing department, you'll be responsible for accurately blending fibre to meet colour and quality standards. This includes safely operating machinery, maintaining high housekeeping standards, and recording materials with precision. You'll monitor equipment, report issues, and maintain a clean, safe work area. On-the-job training is provided, with opportunities for further certification in textile manufacturing.Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate machinery and handle materials safely, including high-density wool bales.
  • Measure, record, and label materials accurately while monitoring blend quality.
  • Identify and report equipment or fibre issues, and assist with basic maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all health and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and refer to manuals for task guidance.

Skills & Requirements:
  • Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy skills (preferred)
  • Previous machinery operation experience (preferred)
  • Effective communication and ability to follow instructions
  • Good manual dexterity and nimbleness
  • Physically strong and reasonably fit
  • Mechanically inclined with good practical skills
  • Safety-conscious and aware of workplace hazards
